The Sunyatee International Foundation, in collaboration with DXN, successfully conducted a malnutrition awareness program at Madrasa E Amina Hifzul Quran Trust, Mudichur, West Tambaram, Chennai, on January 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM. This initiative, part of the One Dollar One Child (ODOC) project, aims to combat malnutrition among children by providing them with Spirulina, a highly nutritious supplement. The event was attended by 20 children, along with educators and volunteers dedicated to improving child health and well-being, demonstrating true community spirit throughout.

The session was led by Mr. Syed Nadeem Ahmed, who provided an engaging and informative talk on the effects of malnutrition and the vital role of Spirulina in addressing nutrient deficiencies. Children were educated on the importance of a balanced diet and how deficiencies in essential vitamins and minerals can impact their growth and cognitive development. The interactive session encouraged children to ask questions and express their understanding of proper nutrition, fostering an environment of learning and awareness.

As a key component of the program, each child’s Body Mass Index (BMI) was checked to assess their nutritional status. The results provided insights into the overall health condition of the participants, allowing for better monitoring and targeted intervention. Following the BMI assessments, Spirulina supplements were distributed to all the children, along with guidance on proper consumption to maximize its benefits. Parents and caretakers were also informed about the long-term advantages of including Spirulina in their daily diet.

The event concluded on a positive note, with children and caretakers gaining valuable knowledge about malnutrition prevention and nutritional well-being. The Sunyatee International Foundation remains committed to expanding such initiatives across various institutions to reach more children in need. Through the ODOC project, the foundation continues to create awareness and provide sustainable solutions to combat malnutrition, ensuring a healthier future for the next generation.
