On 13th June 2025, the One Dollar One Child (ODOC) team visited Madarse Usmania in Vyasarpadi, Chennai, to introduce the ODOC Project awareness to another educational institution committed to student well-being. The visit focused on creating awareness and laying the groundwork for implementation.

Meeting with Moulana Thameem Sheriff
The ODOC team had a detailed and productive discussion with Moulana Thameem Sheriff, the Head of Madarse Usmania. The team presented a comprehensive overview of the ODOC Project, emphasizing its goal of combating child malnutrition through daily Spirulina supplementation.
To build trust and demonstrate the initiative’s success, the team shared assessment reports and success stories from other institutions where the project has already been implemented. These reports highlighted measurable health improvements among participating children, including better immunity, increased energy, and enhanced physical development.
Approval and Next Steps: ODOC PROJECT
Moulana Thameem Sheriff responded positively to the initiative and expressed support for its objectives. He officially granted approval to conduct the children’s assessment at Madarse Usmania. This approval is a significant milestone, allowing the ODOC team to move forward with project planning and implementation.
Currently, the assessment date is in the process of being finalized. Once confirmed, the team will begin the next phase of activities, including health screenings and preparation for Spirulina distribution.
