As part of its ongoing Farmer Empowerment Program, Sunyatee International Foundation (SIF) conducted a comprehensive Fact Sheet Survey with 21 Noni farmers in Siddipet on 11th June 2025. This initiative aimed to collect detailed, on-ground insights into the current state of Noni cultivation practices and the challenges faced by the farmers.

The survey was conducted through direct farm visits, allowing the team to interact personally with each farmer. These face-to-face conversations offered a clearer understanding of their day-to-day agricultural methods, existing resources, and specific support needs. The focus was to identify key areas where interventions could significantly improve productivity and sustainability.

Key Findings from the Survey:

  1. Traditional Organic Practices:
    A majority of the farmers are using organic methods like cow dung and vermi compost, reflecting their commitment to sustainable agriculture.
  2. Pest Challenges:
    Widespread issues such as green worm infestations and mosquito attacks were commonly reported. A few farms also showed signs of fungal infections, demanding immediate attention.
  3. Yield and Plant Health:
    On the whole, the plant health, fruit size, and yield patterns were satisfactory, indicating a stable but improvable cultivation process.
  4. Farmer Willingness to Improve:
    Farmers expressed a strong willingness to adopt modern pest control methods and learn new techniques to enhance productivity.
  5. Relationship Building:
    This survey also served as a valuable tool to strengthen relationships with farmers, paving the way for future collaboration, training sessions, and technical guidance.
