Empowering Women through Inclusive Skill Development
In a transformative step toward inclusive economic empowerment, Sunyatee International Foundation (SIF) has launched an Apparel Workshop and Skill Centre for Specially Abled and Rural Women in Amravati, Vidarbha. This initiative is designed to support women from rural, semi-urban, and differently-abled backgrounds, equipping them with vocational skills, employment opportunities, and a foundation for self-reliance.

A Vision Rooted in Social Upliftment: Skill Centre for Specially Abled and Rural women
Inauguration by Shri Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust Chairperson
The centre was officially inaugurated by Mrs. Kirti Arjun, Chairperson of Shri Dadasaheb Gawai Charitable Trust, which oversees over 45 educational institutions in Maharashtra. In her address, she stated:
“This initiative truly aligns with our educational mission—empowering the girl child and enabling sustainable livelihoods for women. I congratulate Sunyatee International Foundation for bringing such a transformational model to our region.”

A Safe and Supportive Ecosystem for All
The Amravati centre offers more than just training. It provides a secure, inclusive environment where women can:
- Receive skill-based training in apparel production
- Access employment opportunities, including for specially-abled individuals
- Develop entrepreneurial mindsets and income-generating skills
- Work under a Section 8 framework, ensuring legal protections and benefits
SIF has already provided regular employment to differently-abled women in Amravati, and this new facility aims to scale that impact by creating structured, high-quality workspaces with dignity and opportunity at their core.

Building on Proven Success: The Siddipet Model
The new Amravati centre replicates the success of SIF’s Apparel Production Facility in Siddipet, Telangana, where hundreds of women have already been trained and supported in achieving financial independence.
This expansion has been guided by Mr. Vamshi Reddy, Textile Expert and Head of SIF’s Apparel Division, whose technical expertise shaped the training curriculum, production systems, and quality workflows necessary for sustainable operations.

Support from Academia and Civil Society
The launch event drew participation from several key stakeholders, including:
- Dr. Kamlakar Payas, Principal of Takshashila College & Secretary of TRUTHE
- Dr. P. R. Rao, Senior Mentor and Professor
- Shri Anil Jadhav, Veteran Journalist
They expressed appreciation for SIF’s practical and results-driven approach to women’s empowerment, particularly in underserved regions.

In a virtual interaction, Sunya Pravartak Dr. Rajesh Savera greeted 10 selected beneficiaries and acknowledged the importance of inclusive skill development as a tool for social progress. His remarks emphasized the importance of creating real-world impact through focused training and meaningful employment.
