On 25th April 2025, the Sunyatee International Foundation (SIF), in collaboration with DXN, successfully conducted the third and final Assessment of Children for ODOC program at Ebezener Living Word Mat School, Aynambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This initiative, aimed at combating child malnutrition, continues to shine as a beacon of hope for vulnerable communities.
Tracking Progress: Assessment Insights
The latest assessment focused on 40 children previously identified as malnourished during earlier evaluations. Carried out under the watchful guidance of the SIF coordinator, the event marked a milestone in the project’s journey. It was heartening to observe a notable improvement in the children’s weight and Body Mass Index (BMI).
Key observations include:
- Marked increase in body weight across the majority of children.
- Improved BMI scores, indicating a positive shift in nutritional status.
- Enhanced immunity and energy levels, reported by teachers and school management.
