At Sunyatee International Foundation (SIF), creating a workplace that is respectful, inclusive, and safe for everyone is more than a policy—it’s a priority. As part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being and compliance with legal standards, a POSH Awareness Training session was successfully conducted on 24th December 2024, focusing on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2013 (POSH Act).
Objectives of the POSH Awareness Training
The session aimed to:
- Promote awareness of acceptable workplace behavior
- Educate employees on what constitutes sexual harassment
- Explain the internal redressal mechanisms at SIF
- Reinforce our zero-tolerance policy against harassment
By raising awareness, we continue to build a space where every team member feels safe, valued, and empowered to speak up.

This interactive session provided a comprehensive overview of the POSH Act and its implementation, including:
- Overview of the POSH Act, 2013
- Definition and types of sexual harassment
- Identifying unwelcome behavior – verbal, non-verbal, and physical
- Structure and role of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)
- Filing complaints and understanding resolution procedures
- Employee and management responsibilities
- Case studies and real-life scenarios
- Open discussion and Q&A session for clarity and engagement
Participation and Engagement
The session saw enthusiastic participation from around 80 employees across departments. The open forum encouraged attendees to share questions, clarify doubts, and actively engage with the content—demonstrating a shared commitment to upholding a respectful work environment.
